Open division at UDA in jazz and hip hop; local events/invitationals as well
WHAT DOES YOUR PRACTICE SCHEDULE LOOK LIKE?
3-4 times/week for 3-4 hours each
DOES YOUR PROGRAM DO MANDATORY WORKOUTS OR IS IT INCORPORATED INTO YOUR PRACTICE SCHEDULE?
Two mandatory workouts per week, not incorporated into practices
ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL EXPENSES ON THE STUDENT ATHLETE TO BE PART OF YOUR PROGRAM OR IS IT TAKEN CARE OF BY THE UNIVERSITY?
Team fee of $800 due within 10 days of auditions; any remaining costs is dependent on fundraising
WHAT IS YOUR AUDITION PROCESS/REQUIREMENTS?
Two days: one full day (9am-4pm) of learning
second day is auditions. Includes a jazz and hip hop combo plus skills and a short solo of choice
WHAT SPORTS/ACTIVITIES DO YOU PERFORM AT?
Football, basketball, one or two local high school events
ANYTHING ELSE
We require two volunteer events per dancer throughout the season
and we host a competition as a fundraiser.
